
Project overview
In April 2025, Newdesy prepared 400 K-TEK-A343-MTB-DWP stainless steel industrial keyboards for shipment to a European customer. The order required not only consistent product configuration across the batch, but also a practical transport plan for protecting the keyboards throughout international handling and delivery.
The project illustrates how volume production, protective packing, wooden crating and cargo-insurance planning can be coordinated before dispatch.
Product configuration
The K-TEK-A343-MTB-DWP combines a stainless steel keyboard and integrated trackball in one panel-mount assembly. The supplied configuration included:
- Stainless steel construction for demanding public and industrial equipment
- Integrated trackball for cursor control without a separate mouse
- IP65 protection on the rated exposed face
- USB connection for host-system integration
- Panel-mount format for installation into the customer's equipment
Project note: The IP65 rating applies to the rated exposed face in the specified configuration. Protection of the complete equipment depends on correct panel installation, sealing, cable routing and enclosure design.
Preparing 400 units for international transport
Before dispatch, the completed keyboards were placed in protective outer packaging and organized for stable batch handling. The packed products were then secured in wooden crates to reduce movement and provide additional protection against impact, compression and handling risks during the international journey.
This packing process was planned around the shipment quantity, product weight and transport route. It gave the customer a clearly prepared cargo unit instead of relying on individual cartons alone.
Cargo insurance and shipment risk management
Newdesy also helped arrange cargo insurance for the shipment based on the declared cargo value. For a covered loss, the policy can provide compensation up to the insured or declared value, subject to the policy coverage, exclusions, supporting evidence and the carrier or insurer's claims process.
This creates a defined recovery route if an insured incident occurs during transit. It should not be interpreted as an unconditional guarantee for every type of delay, damage or loss; final compensation is determined under the applicable insurance and logistics terms.
Project value
For the customer, the delivery combined four parts of a complete B2B order: a proven industrial keyboard platform, consistent 400-unit production, transport-ready packing and documented shipment-risk planning.
For Newdesy, the project demonstrates that delivery preparation is part of the product solution. Reliable international supply depends not only on how a keyboard performs after installation, but also on how the order is protected before it reaches the customer's facility.
